Founded in 2000 as a hobby, Transfermarkt is today the leading German football community, the largest publicly accessible football database on the Internet and operates portals in Austria, Italy, Türkiye and England in more than ten other countries. Axel Springer SE holds a 51 percent stake in Transfermarkt since 2008. The Transfermarkt team is a bunch of around 40 football enthusiasts who do their best every day to make Transfermarkt the world's leading football portal.

The basis for our success, in line with our company maxim "...always better!", is formed by manifold competences, expertise and teamwork.
