Sportclub Heerenveen, simply sc Heerenveen, is a Dutch professional club from Heerenveen, located in the north of the Netherlands, that plays in the Eredivisie in both the men's and women's competitions. The club's biggest successes are winning the KNVB Cup in 2009 and reaching the UEFA Champions League in 2000/01.
The home base of SC Heerenveen has been the Abe Lenstra Stadium since 1994, named after former football player Abe Lenstra who died in 1985. The stadium can accommodate 27,224 spectators.
