Founded in 1914 by Italians, Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras is currently the biggest champion of the Brazilian championship, with 12 titles. Its history is divided into 4 victorious eras, the 1st Academy from 1961-1970, the 2nd Academy from 1971-1980, the Parmalat Era from 1991-2000, and finally the current 3rd Academy, from 2015-present.
